Photography Fundamentals

Before you get underwater, it always helps to make sure you have the basics covered on land. The 1:1 photography fundamentals course focuses on the nitty gritty of using a camera in non auto modes and lens selection. The aim is to help you navigate you way around your camera in a variety of lighting conditions and over a range of subjects. By the end of the day, you will be more confident about how to control your camera for the best possible image. This is a private course so you will really get the most from your session.

One of the main advantages of a 1:1 is that you are in control of the course content. We will contact you before each fundamentals course to chat about what your strengths, and weaknesses, are. This is your opportunity to go right back to the basics and understand the relationships between the camera, lenses and technical functions. We can run this course at a number of UK locations, which are especially well suited to photographers.

Is this course for me?

Anyone is welcome on a photography fundamentals course and you don’t have to have a flashy camera! This course is especially beneficial to anyone with a new camera or if you are upgrading your current model.

What do I need?

You need to bring your camera, housing, battery charger and user manual. If you have any sample images that you feel demonstrates a problem you are trying to fix, do bring these along too!

You will also need to pay for any relevant entry fees and lunch. A convenient location can be arranged – just let us know where you are based and we can work out the best location.

How do I book?

Simply contact us to discuss a suitable date and location. We work hard to fit around your schedule, including weekdays AND weekends.

Pay for your course by debit/credit card over the phone. There is no charge for debit cards, or a 2% surcharge for credit cards. Alternatively, you are welcome to make a bank transfer. It couldn’t be easier.
